The Blynn Davis Memorial Archives is open all year by appointment for researchers. In July and August, the Museum and Archives will be open Wednesday-Friday from 10-3. Although appointments are not necessary during this time, researchers are encouraged to contact us in advance so that we can better meet their needs. Narramissic will be open for house tours Thursday-Saturday from 10-3 in July and August. The grounds are always open during daylight hours -- hiking and picnic tables are available.

Arcadia Press Book - Bridgton

Raise the Roof Campaign

The Raise the Roof Campaign to replace the Temperance Barn roof at Narramissic, the Peabody-Fitch Farm, is now underway. Thanks to a generous grant from the Kendal and Anna Ham Charitable Foundation, we are already over one-third of the way to our goal of raising $30,000 for this project. Beginning Beading with Sue Connelley

Description:

This class is for someone who loves those colorful, glass bead bracelets, but isn’t sure where to begin to assemble one. Come play with oodles of glittering beads and see what you can create. During class you’ll make a bracelet with glass, crystal and sterling silver beads and sterling silver toggle clasp. While working on your bracelet, the instructor will discuss various design and finishing techniques. If time allows you can make a pair of earrings to go with your new creation.

Level: beginner, no experience required

Date: Wednesday, August 5th

Time: 10 a.m. till 2 p.m.

Course Cost: $35, payable to Bridgton Historical Society with registration

Materials Cost: $15 per bracelet (includes glass, crystal and sterling silver beads and sterling silver clasp) and $4 per pair earrings, payable to the instructor at the time of the class

What to Bring: No need to bring any materials, all beads, findings and tools will be provided.
